The BCS's Christmas Party was full of cheer, with members and guests enjoying wonderful singing, food and drink, and lots of raffle prizes. Thanks are due to Henry and Doris Adler, as well as Stanley Pickston, for the organization, along with Gaynor Smith and Elizabeth Barnes. The bar was again expertly run by Michael and Vanica Royster, and Steve Spencer, while Clare Cato took charge of the kids and even got them to perform! They were rewarded by presents from Father Christmas who made a very popular appearance towards the end of the party. Thanks also to Martin Hester and his wonderful group of singers, as well as Peter Napthine and Mark Archer (Rice 'n Beans), and Robin Brown for their entertainment. Everyone loved the delicious Christmas cake, homemade by Noreen Smith. Mary Crawshaw and Stan Pickston directed proceedings and a good time seems to have been had by all.
The BCS thanks all its advertisers and sponsors who have helped to make 2009 another successful year: KPMG, Copacabana Palace Hotel, Looking for Dylan, Britannia, The British School, Daniel Advogados and all advertisers in The Umbrella.
